What to Check Before Paying for a Poster App
Festival poster apps are useful, and their users complain about money more than anything else. In our October 2026 sample of newest 1–2 star Play reviews, money complaints made up between 20% and 48% per app. Six checks before you pay:
1. What happens after the trial?
A ₹1 or ₹9 trial often turns into a monthly plan. On the payment screen, find the renewal amount and date. If it isn’t shown, don’t pay.
2. Is it a UPI AutoPay mandate?
If you’re asked for your UPI PIN to “set up AutoPay”, read the maximum amount and frequency. You can cancel later (how), but past debits aren’t refunded automatically.
3. How many posters are actually free?
“Free” sometimes means 3–5 posters, then a paywall, or posters with a watermark. Make a few before deciding.
4. What does sign-up ask for?
Some apps want a logo, website, two phone numbers and email before your first poster. You shouldn’t need more than your shop name and number to start.
5. What do recent 1–2 star reviews say?
On the Play Store, sort reviews by Most recent and filter 1 star. If many mention “AutoPay”, “paise kat gaye” or “no refund”, take note.
6. Can you reach support?
Look for a support email or chat in the listing. “No response after payment” is a common complaint.
