Bohag Bihu falls on 14 April 2027 (Rongali Bihu week, about 14–20 April). Rongali Bihu marks the Assamese New Year and the start of sowing. Goru Bihu (cattle Bihu) comes first, then Manuh Bihu, when people wear new clothes, seek elders’ blessings and gift a gamosa.
