Vishu 2027: date and what it means for shops
Vishu falls on 15 April 2027 (Vishu Kani). The first sight of the morning, the Vishukkani, is a lamp with konna flowers, fruit, rice, gold and a mirror. Elders give children money (Vishukkaineetam), families wear new clothes (Vishukkodi), and lunch is the Vishu sadya. Fireworks are part of the evening.
